Basehor Veterinary Clinic & Urgent Care offers after hours walk-in urgent care:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 6pm until 10pm
and every other Saturday from 8am until 12pm.

When to Seek Veterinary Urgent Care:

 

  • Sudden injury (e.g., car accidents, falls, cuts, or fractures)
  • Difficulty breathing or choking on a foreign object
  • Vomiting or diarrhea lasting more than 24 hours, especially with blood
  • Ingestion of toxic substances (e.g., chocolate, medications, or household chemicals)
  • Seizures or loss of consciousness
  • Severe pain, such as excessive whining, limping, or sensitivity
  • Swelling or sudden bloating (e.g., in the abdomen)
  • Difficulty urinating or defecating
  • Heatstroke symptoms, such as excessive panting or collapse
  • Sudden changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels

  • Toxin Removal: Treatment for poisoning, including induced vomiting or activated charcoal.
  • IV Fluids: Rehydration and electrolyte stabilization for pets in distress.
